St. Joseph's  has one of the most technologically advanced radiation oncology centers available. Radiation therapy uses a stream of high-energy particles or waves, such as x-rays, gamma rays, and alpha and beta particles to destroy cancer cells. St. Joseph's has equipment that includes three linear accelerators, simulators, CT, MRI, three-dimensional treatment planning, and a variety of brachytherapy methods as well as Gamma Knife. In addition, we are the only center in the southwest offering CyberKnife therapy (see related link).
