Helping You Learn About Cancer, Giving You Support
St. Joseph's is committed to supporting
patients and their families through ongoing support and education
programs about cancer. Some of our programs include:
I Can
Cope
Facing cancer can be one of the
most significant challenges a person faces. I Can Cope helps people
meet this challenge by clarifying cancer facts and myths.
I Can Cope is a free program of the American
Cancer Society presented by St. Joseph's cancer program. It is a
series of education and support classes for people with cancer,
their families and friends. For more information see our Classes
and Events or call St. Joseph's at 602-406-3000.
One-on-One Patient Education
The oncology (cancer) nursing staff is
available for one-on-one education and support. Oncology nurses
have specialized training and education and are well versed on
issues such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, possible
treatment side effects, as well as pain management.
