John Peters, Chief Financial Officer
John Peters is Chief Financial Officer for St. Joseph’s and has more than 23 years of experience in hospital financial management. His previous healthcare experience includes work as a Financial Specialist, Controller and CFO for Humana Inc. in Louisville, Kent., as well as CFO for Humana Hospital Lexington in Lexington, Kent. John also has worked as Controller and CFO for Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada’s largest hospital, and was Principal of Sigrun Management Services, a healthcare management and consulting firm that is a region provider of Interim CFO and Controller services.
John received has Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting from West Virginia University. He is a mentor for Hospital Corporation of America Controller Development Program, University of Kentucky School of Business and Humane Financial Specialist Program. John also is an Allocations Panel Chairman for United Way of the Bluegrass.
