Acoustic Neuroma Association (ANA)
The mission of ANA is to inform, educate and provide national and local support networks for those affected by acoustic neuromas, and to be an essential resource for health care professionals who treat acoustic neuroma patients. Support group meets at St. Joseph's 2 - 4 times a year. For more information, visit www.anausa.org.  

Alzheimer’s
This support group is for Alzheimer’s patients, caregivers, and/or loved ones. Meetings are held on the third Sunday of every month from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Huger Mercy Living Center. Lunch is provided. For more information, please call 602-406-5600.

Birth Parent
This support group offers support, education and birth options to women and their support systems who are considering placing a child for adoption or have placed a child for adoption. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of every month from 6 - 8 p.m. in St. Joseph's Mercy Conference Room. For more information, call 1-888-818-4445.

Brain Aneurysm
If you or someone you love has been effected by an aneurysm or AVM, join us as we come together to support one another and share our stories. We encourage patients, families and friends to join us as we listen to others who have shared in our pain. Meetings take place the third Wednesday of each month in the El Dorado Room, located on the 6th floor, from 6 - 8 p.m. For more information, contact Kimberly@joeniekrofoundation.org or call 760-333-7658.

Brain Injury - Adult
This support group is held on the 4th Thursday of the month from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in Conference Room 1& 2 at St Joseph’s. For more information, call 602-508-8024.  

Brain Injury - Young Adult & Caregiver
This support group is open to ages 18-35. It is held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month 6 - 7:30 p.m. in Conference Room 1& 2 at St. Joseph’s.For more information, call 602-996-1396.

 

Brain Tumor
This support group, for individuals, family members and friends, meets from 6 - 8 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month at St. Joseph's in Conference Room 4 and 5 in the hospital’s main lobby behind the cafeteria. For more information, call 623-205-6446.

Cardiac Support Group/Mended Little Hearts, Inc.
This support group is for the parents of children with cardiac problems. The group meets the last Tuesday of the month. For more information, e-mail phoenixaz@mendedhearts.org.

Caregivers
This support group provides information, resources and assistance for those who care for others with illnesses or disabilities. This group meets the second Monday of each month at St. Joseph's Barrow Neurological Institute in the Outpatient Rehabilitation Building, 114 W. Thomas Rd. Call 602-406-6688 for more information.

 

Face in the Mirror Foundation® for Women with Cancer
The Comprehensive Cancer Center at St. Joseph’s in partnership with Face in the Mirror Foundation provides a monthly tea party and cosmetic makeover, along with an educational program for women with cancer. You do not have to be a patient of St. Joseph’s Hospital to attend. Face in the Mirror meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 2 - 4 p.m. on the 6th floor of the main hospital. Grief
St. Joseph's hosts a grief support group every other Thursday in the Mercy Conference Room. The group is led by a chaplain. Please call 602-406-3275 for times and dates.

Huntington's Disease
This support group can help people with the disease by providing them with a place to discuss and share information and experiences related to the disease and its treatment. Meets the 3rd Monday of every month from 6 to 8 p.m. in Conference Room 4 & 5 (hospital's main lobby behind the cafeteria). Lung Cancer
This group is open to lung cancer patients and their loved ones. This group meets on the second Saturday of every month from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Wellness Community at 360 East Palm Lane Phoenix, Arizona 85004. For more information, please call 602-712-1006.

Lung Transplant
The support group is open to patients who have been transplanted, on the waiting list for a donor, or in the transplant evaluation process, and their family members and friends. The group meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Mercy Conference Room at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Mother to Mother
Are you feeling overwhelmed, depressed, disconnected or anxious during your pregnancy or after delivery? Come join our discussion and meet with other mothers who are experiencing the same things you are. We will discuss sleep, self care, adjustment to the role of motherhood, available resources and much more. Babies under a year are welcome. Our group meets the 1st and 4th Friday of every month from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in Dining Room A.

Stroke
Support group for stroke survivors and their families provides information, resources and support. Meets the first Tuesday of each month from 12 - 1 p.m. For more information, please call 602-406-6688.

Support for People with Head and Neck Cancer
SPOHNC chapters hold monthly meetings offering information, support and encouragement to newly diagnosed patients, survivors, family members and friends in a friendly and non-threatening forum. Survivors discuss their situations, experiences, coping strategies and hopes. There are also educational presentations. This group meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Comprehensive Cancer Center, 500 W Thomas Road Suite 650 in Phoenix. Syringo & Chiari
This support group offers care, friendship, education and support by touching the lives of everyone affected by syringomyelia/chiari malformation, neuropathic pain and related disorders. This group meets quarterly, the third Thursday of the month, at St. Joseph’s Outpatient Rehab Center, 114 W. Thomas Rd from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. For more information, please call 602-504-0883.

Una Reunion
The Latino Cancer Outreach Task Force will be hosting a monthly Spanish-speaking support group to be held the third Tuesday of each month at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center from 6 - 7:30 p.m. The support group will be hosted by a Spanish speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Us Too - Prostate Cancer
The group meets the second Monday of the month from 7 - 9 pm at St. Joseph's in conference rooms 4 and 5. Spouses and friends are welcome as well. For more information, please call 602-242-3131.

Wake Up! Youth Program
Wake up! is a drug and alcohol education program for youth referred by the Courts for alcohol related offenses (typically minor in possession). The program consists of sessions including a Trauma Center visit stressing the effects of alcohol and drugs and reinforcing the benefits of making better choices. Women with Multiple Sclerosis
This support group is an educational and social program in which group members lend their support, share ideas and learn from each other. Held the last Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. in Conference Room 2 at St. Joseph's. Call 480-829-6563 for more information.
