The Internal Medicine Health Center provides internal medicine primary care services to men and women 18 year and older who are well, acutely, or chronically ill. Our physicians are board-certified in their specialty.

Endocrinology
St. Joseph’s treats patients with hormonal problems related to the thyroid, pituitary, parathyroid, adrenal, pancreas, ovaries and testes, and bones, such as diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, pituitary tumors, adrenal insufficiency, and glandular tumors. Read more on our Pituitary Center.
Hospitalists
St. Joseph’s Internal Medicine Hospitalists provide a faculty team of Internal Medicine doctors who specialize in the care of hospitalized adult patients. Our physicians provide the knowledge and expertise required to bring the best care for patients. With 24-hour in-house coverage for inpatient care and medical consultation, our physicians work as a team to provide timely and responsive care to patients and their family members or loved ones.
Infectious Disease
St. Joseph’s is dedicated to serving people with suspected or known infections. Treatment is based on a multidisciplinary team approach with specialists chosen for their expertise in and dedication to treating people with infectious disease including the treatment of HIV and AIDS.
Gastroenterology
The Adult Gastrointestinal (GI) Department at St. Joseph’s offers a full range of services to diagnose, treat and manage all digestive problems including esophageal, gastric, small intestine, colonic, rectal, liver, biliary tract and pancreatic disorders in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. Palliative Care and Pain Care
The Palliative Care Program consists of an interdisciplinary team, including nursing, pharmacy, spiritual care, case management, social work, pain management, and physician leadership. The team provides holistic compassionate care that embraces the patient and family as a unit and recognizes cultural, ethnic, and spiritual differences. The team's aim is to relieve suffering and improve quality of life during any state in the course of a life-threatening illness, from diagnosis through the end of life and bereavement.
Pre Admission Testing Center (PATC)
Our Pre Admission Testing Center (PATC) is located inside St. Joseph’s allowing all of the steps required to proceed with surgery to be completed at one convenient location. This includes: hospital registration, insurance verification, evaluation by a registered nurse, pre-operative teaching, instructions regarding medications, completion of pre-surgical testing (such as laboratory tests, chest x-ray, electrocardiogram), time to discuss questions and an opportunity for patients to familiarize themselves with the hospital before surgery.
Rheumatology
St. Joseph’s Internal Medicine provides diagnostic and treatment services for multiple rheumatic and immune-system diseases, including: arthritis, bursitis, carpal tunnel, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus, myositis, Paget's Disease, connective tissue disease, polymyositis, scleroderma, raynaud's disease, infection arthritis, and vasculitis syndrome.
