Center for Thoracic Disease

U.S. News and World Report recently ranked St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center one of  America's best hospitals in the area of respiratory care. St. Joseph's ranked 32nd in treating respiratory disorders.

The Thoracic Oncology Program at the St. Joseph's Center for Thoracic Disease provides patient-centered care through a team approach.

Consultations are provided in a patient-focused environment that brings the specialty physicians and supportive care team to the patient.  This allows for individualized care to be delivered rapidly, efficiently, and in a coordinated manner, and incorporates the patient's existing physicians.

In addition, our program includes patient care coordination provided by a registered nurse who works closely with the team to ensure timely, compassionate, and personalized care.  Patients and their families have access to the nurse to guide them through their healthcare experience and provide referrals to community resources.

Referrals
We accept physician referrals and self-referrals for consultations and second opinions.  We request that medical records be sent to us prior to the appointment so we can determine which physicians will need to be involved in the appointment.
