The Adult Gastrointestinal (GI) Department at St. Joseph’s offers a full range of general and subspecialty services to diagnose, treat and manage digestive problems.

GI Conditions Treated

  • Disorders of esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, biliary tract and pancreas
  • Pancreaticobiliary tumors/malignancies
  • Pancreatic cysts
  • Cancers - esophagus, gastric, rectal, pancreatic
  • Dysphagia, malnutrition
  • Hepatobiliary disease in pregnancy
  • Colon cancer screening

GI Procedures and Services 

In addition to general GI services such as screening colonoscopy for colorectal cancer, the department provides multiple advanced therapies including:

  • Endoscopic Ultrasound, with possible biopsy if needed
  • Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
