The Adult Gastrointestinal (GI) Department at St. Joseph’s offers a full range of general and subspecialty services to diagnose, treat and manage digestive problems.
GI Conditions Treated
- Disorders of esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, biliary tract and pancreas
- Pancreaticobiliary tumors/malignancies
- Pancreatic cysts
- Cancers - esophagus, gastric, rectal, pancreatic
- Dysphagia, malnutrition
- Hepatobiliary disease in pregnancy
- Colon cancer screening
GI Procedures and Services
In addition to general GI services such as screening colonoscopy for colorectal cancer, the department provides multiple advanced therapies including:
- Endoscopic Ultrasound, with possible biopsy if needed
- Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
