Ms. Aiken has specialized in pediatrics throughout her nursing career and she has been associated with St. Joseph’s developmental programs since 1991. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and her Master of Science Degree from ASU in 1984.
Ms. Aiken is a member of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and the Section on Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2000, Ms. Aiken was coordinator and co-investigator for the ALZA Corporation Open-Label Study to Evaluate Participant Use and Safety of OROS (Concerta) in children with ADHD at St. Joseph’s.
Ms. Aiken’s clinical interests include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorders, depression and other developmental disorders for which medication may be indicated. She also has an interest in hypnosis as an adjunct therapy for problems commonly encountered in developmental and behavioral pediatrics.
