Division of Child Neurology
The Division of Child Neurology at St. Joseph's Hospital has been successful in building a nationally recognized nine person faculty, led by Dr. John Bodensteiner. In addition to general neurology, the division includes an active epilepsy program, as well as programs for children with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and neuro-genetic disorders. The Child Neurology Department is actively involved in the evaluation and treatment of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with the full range of neurological and neuro-developmental disorders, including:
- Epilepsy
- Headaches / Migraines
- Neuromuscular diseases
- Neurogenetic conditions
- Neonatal neurology
- Spasticity
- Attention-deficit disorder
- Developmental delay
- Autism

Pediatric Neurosurgery Program
The Pediatric Neurosurgery Program provides services for infants and children as well as cares for adults with congenital malformations. They offer a full range of neurosurgical services for the treatment of: birth defects of the central nervous system, brain tumors, cerebral palsy, cerebrovascular surgery, chiari malformation, closed head injuries, craniofacial disorders, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, neurological infections, spina bifida, and spinal disorders and other brain or spinal injuries.
