Pediatric Pre-Operative & Outpatient Unit

The Pediatric Pre-Operative and Outpatient Unit is committed to providing pediatric patients and their family with caring and quality service to ensure the utmost positive experience. The staff recognizes the importance of developmentally appropriate interventions for children. The specially trained pediatric nurses and child life specialists strive to lessen the patient’s stress and anxiety. This is done by providing patients the opportunity to explore their environment and engage in normal play activities. The use of child friendly terms helps pediatric patients to better understand their upcoming procedures.
