At St. Joseph's Heart and Lung Institute, new cardiovascular and pulmonary disease treatments and therapies are being developed and tested, making them available to our patients as soon as possible.
St. Joseph's Foundation has committed funding to the initiation of two cardiopulmonary research areas, thoracic oncology and caridogenetics.
St. Joseph's is collaborating with the Translational Genomics Institute (TGEN) in understanding the molecular genetics of lung and esophageal cancers and in developing therapies that are tailored to a particular cancer and to the individual patient.
