Diagnosis

Conditions can be diagnosed by up-to-date ultrasound CT Angiogram and MRA. The ultrasound is the basis of most diagnosis methods and can include: carotid ultrasound, abdominal aortic ultrasound or a venous and arterial ultrasounds.

Treatment

Minimally invasive treatments, such as endovascular stents and thrombolysis are available for both arterial and venous diseases as well as reconstruction surgery. Other treatments include:

  • Peripheral vascular interventional/surgical procedures
  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, including endoluminal grafting
  • Atherectomy (removal of plaque from within an artery)
  • Balloon angioplasty
  • Bypass grafting
  • Embolectomy/thrombectomy (removal of a blood clot)
  • Carotid endarterectomy (removal of plaque in the carotid artery)
  • Carotid stent-supported angioplasty
  • Laser recanalization
  • Lower extremity bypass
  • Stent implantation
  • Upper extremity surgery
  • Varicose vein stripping
  • Ligation and stripping of veins
  • Corrective surgery for thoracic outlet with arterial, venous and neurogenic complications
