St. Joseph’s Adolescent Medicine Clinic is one of the few outpatient sub-specialized adolescent medicine centers in the Valley and provides a multidisciplinary approach to adolescent health issues. Chantay Banikarim, MD, MPH, is one of the few board certified adolescent specialist in Arizona.
St. Joseph’s multidisciplinary adolescent team consists of Dr. Banikarim, a psychologist and dietitian. The team works closely with each patient and family to provide sub-specialty care, while communicating with referring family physicians so the continuum of care is not disrupted.

Eating Disorder Program
The clinic has an outpatient, multidisciplinary eating disorder program, specializing in the treatment of anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Dr. Banikarim manages the medical aspects of the disease and a psychologist provides intensive individual and family therapy, an essential component of treatment. St. Joseph’s Adolescent Medicine Clinic is the only outpatient eating disorder clinic in the Valley that has both an MD and psychologist on staff. Read more on the Eating Disorder Program.
