Qualifications
Candidates
should be fully trained neurosurgeons or senior level neurosurgery
residents in an ACGME-accredited neurosurgery residency training
program.
Program
Description
This one-year fellowship is
divided into two six-month blocks with one block spent primarily on
the clinical service and one block spent primarily on research. The
fellowship is ACGME accredited.
Goals
To specialize
and develop leadership in the diagnosis and pre- and post-operative
management of patients with complex cerebrovascular disorders.
Duties
Fellows
become an integral part of the neurosurgery residency training
program and are encouraged to fully participate in the training
process of the residents. While on the clinical service, the fellow
shares home weekend call with the Chief Residents and is expected
to be on call for complicated cases and/or post-operative
complications. Fellow is also expected to share call with the
Attending Physicians.

Spine Fellowship
Qualifications
Candidates
should be fully trained neurosurgeons or senior level neurosurgery
residents in an ACGME-accredited neurosurgery residency training
program.
Program
Description
This one-year fellowship involves development and participation in
research projects leading to publications. The spine research
laboratory has the capabilities of conducting both neuronal as well
as biomechanical research. Fellows are expected to
participate in both of these areas. The fellowship is ACGME
accredited.
Goals
To specialize and develop leadership in the diagnosis and pre- and
post-operative management of patients with complex spine disorders
as well as prepare for academic careers and consultative services
related to spinal disease.
Clinical
Duties
Fellows are expected
to rotate and participate in clinical duties. Fellows will rotate
on a clinical service for six months. During that time, the fellow
will participate in the clinical service, as well as in the
operating theatre with management of the pre- and post-operative
patient. All disorders of the spine are treated including
degenerative, neoplastic, trauma and infections.

Endovascular Neuroradiology Fellowship

nervous system vascular disease.
