Neurology

As an integral part of Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, the Department of Neurology is known for its highly skilled neuroscience care. The Division of Neurology offers comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and education for patients suffering from diseases and injuries of the nervous system. Adults and child receive both inpatient and outpatient care from world-renown specialists and have the opportunity to participate in pharmaceutical clinical trials. Diagnostic and research studies are perfected by scientists utilizing state-of-the-art equipment.

In addition, experts at Barrow provide teaching for medical residencies and sponsor on-going educational programs for physicians, health care professionals, patients and their families.

Patients with chronic conditions may be seen by the Barrow Neurological Group, which provide diagnosis and treatment in a unique outpatient clinical setting. Each clinic is staffed by prominent professionals who have completed years of training and have extensive experience within that clinical area. These clinics include: child neurology, neuro-oncology, Parkinson's disease, neurovascular, neuromuscular, neuro-rehabilitation, Alzheimer's disease, muscular dystrophy, epilepsy, headache, and dizziness/balance disorders.
