Linda Hunt

Linda Hunt is president of St. Joseph's
Hospital and Medical Center, one of the largest hospitals in
Arizona, and the flagship hospital of Catholic Healthcare West
(CHW), one of the country's leading healthcare systems.
Under Linda's leadership, St. Joseph's has
received local and national recognition for its high-quality care,
innovative research, academic programs and supportive work
environment. The hospital has been named a Best Place to
Work, a Solucient Top 100 Hospital and is routinely ranked among
the top 10 neuroscience centers in the country by
U.S. News & World Report. In
spring 2006, Linda will open the new Barrow Patient Tower, an
expansion project that will make St. Joseph's the largest hospital
in Arizona.
Linda began her career 33 years ago as a
nurse. Her strong convictions to help those in need later motivated
her to return to school and begin a career in healthcare
management.
Prior to joining St. Joseph's, Linda served in administrative roles
at hospitals in Colorado and Louisiana. Today, she leads a team of
approximately 4,500.
Linda is an active member of several civic,
community and healthcare organizations. In the last few years
several groups have honored her, including the Phoenix Business
Journal, Sage Foundation for Health, Arizona Children's
Association, YWCA, Homebase Youth Services and the National
Conference for Community and Justice. She is also a representative
of the American Association of Medical Colleges.
